Abstract
The purpose of this research is to answer the claims of certain religions and teachings which “feel” and “believe” that the prophecy referred to in Deuteronomy 18:15-22 were addressed to their prophet. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with text content analysis techniques, while the type of research is Library Research, meaning that the data sources come from written materials related to the topics discussed. Through the Bible, scientific works, both those contained in books, magazines, and other biblical data, researchers also apply the OIA method (observation, interpretation, application). The results of the study are based on the context analysis of Deuteronomy 18:15-22 specifically verses 15 and 18 as well as the text background that the prophecy of the prophet who will be raised by God refers to things that are found in Israelites and Moses as prophets of God who are bound by the covenants with God. The conclusion is that the prophecy about the prophet whom God would raise up from the midst of Israel were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The argument is based on the fact that Jesus Christ did what Moses and the OT prophets did
